Any available photo that you have stored in your desktop computer can be set as desktop wallpaper. You can choose from the default photos that your operating system has, and set it right on or you can transfer your own photo album in your hard drive and use them as wallpapers. You may also download random images in the net that are compatible with your screen's resolution.
Alternatively, you may download free wallpapers in popular graphic websites where there are thousands of pre-made wallpapers to choose from. In fact, these are only some of the various ways to set and customize your desktop background according to your own taste and style.
Photos that are taken straight out of your own digital camera or cellular phone camera can be used as wallpaper, as long as they are transferred and stored in your hard drive. You only have to make sure that the resolution and size of your photo fits your screen so that you don't get pixilated desktop backgrounds. Any photo that you place there will be maximized for your computer screen if you wish to, but the bigger the photo, the better the quality of the wallpaper will be. If you're not a graphic geek and you don't want to use your own photos, you can download photos online. Else, if you would like to use some graphic images of your own favorite celebrities, movies or some random digital art, thousands of archives can be found in wallpaper or photo websites. Most of the time, they are grouped in categories that will make it easier for you to spot a certain preference, be it cars, celebrities, abstract art, sexy women, nature, etc. You would only have to know which size of wallpaper is compatible for your screen (e.g. 800 x 600, 1024 x 768, etc.) There are free wallpapers ready for download anytime in popular wallpaper websites, and their archives are really impressively expanded for every user's choice.
Customizing our own computer backgrounds can be fun and artistically-challenging. But if you're not the tech-savvy that requires just that, free wallpapers online are just what you need. The options are plenty, and it's also effort-free. Some websites may require a minimal fee, but there are also websites that give away the best wallpapers for free.
